A Message From Emily Crimmins
For Nurses’ Week, consider donating to this great organization of nurses helping nurses. “In 1924, Nurses House began by offering nurses a place to go to rest and recuperate in a mansion on Long Island which was donated for this purpose. Over time, nurses' needs changed and Nurses House evolved into a national service organization run by nurses. For decades, they have provided relief to thousands of nurses in need of short-term financial assistance as a result of illness, injury, or disability. One of their main fundraising efforts is the "Dolphins for Nurses" campaign during the month leading up to Nurses Week.” $15 donation for a face mask and $35 for a t-shirt.

In Support of Nurses House, Inc
Nurses House is the only national organization offering assistance to RN's who are struggling due to their health and financial situation. Nurses House is run by nurses and funded by donations from nurses and the nursing community. Assistance is rendered to those who qualify on a short term basis to help with basic necessary expenses such as rent or mortgage payments and medical needs. The service is a vehicle for nurses to give and receive help from their fellow colleagues and is truly "nurses helping nurses."
